Richard Freedman
Richard Freedman is Professor of Music and John C. Whitehead Professor of Humanities at Haverford College, where he has taught since 1986 after earning his M.A. and Ph.D. in History and Theory of Music from the University of Pennsylvania.[1][2][3] His scholarly work focuses on Renaissance music from France and Italy, including composers like Josquin des Prez, Orlando di Lasso, and Luca Marenzio; he is the author of books such as 'The Chansons of Orlando di Lasso and their protestant listeners' (2001) and 'Music in the Renaissance' (2 vols).[1][2]
