Richard Fortey
Richard Alan Fortey (1946–2025) was a British palaeontologist, natural historian, writer, and television presenter, specializing in trilobites and Ordovician paleogeography. He worked at the Natural History Museum in London from 1970 until retirement in 2006, served as President of the Geological Society of London in 2007, and authored acclaimed popular science books like *Life: An Unauthorised Biography* and *Earth: An Intimate History*.[1][2]
