Richard Ford
Richard Ford is an acclaimed American novelist and short story writer, best known for his Frank Bascombe series, including The Sportswriter (1986) and Independence Day (1995), which won the Pulitzer Prize and PEN/Faulkner Award. Born in Jackson, Mississippi, he studied at Michigan State University and the University of California, Irvine, and has explored themes of American life, loneliness, and personal reflection in works like Rock Springs (1987) and Canada (2012). He has received numerous awards, including the Princess of Asturias Award in 2016.
