Richard Faber

Sir Richard Faber (1924-2007) was a British author and diplomat known for his well-crafted books on 19th-century English history and a biography of the courtier Sir William Temple. He concluded his diplomatic career as Ambassador to Algeria and was appointed CMG in 1977. Faber served as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, acting as its honorary treasurer from 1986 to 1991.[1]
