Richard E. Hanson

Richard E. Hanson, a 1965 University of Oregon graduate with a B.S. degree after initially majoring in landscape architecture, built a distinguished career in the timber industry, becoming chief operating officer of Weyerhaeuser Company. Hailing from Forest Grove, Oregon, he advanced to head of all company timberlands in 1999 and was elected COO in 2003. He serves on the governing board of Pacific University in his hometown.[1]
