Richard Dawkins
Richard Dawkins is a British evolutionary biologist, zoologist, ethologist, and author best known for popularizing gene-centered evolutionary theory through books like The Selfish Gene (1976) and advocating atheism in works such as The God Delusion (2006). Born in Nairobi, Kenya, he studied zoology at Oxford University under Nikolaas Tinbergen, later becoming the first Simonyi Professor for the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford from 1995 to 2008, and founded the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science in 2006.
