Richard 1849-1941 Herrmann

Richard Herrmann (March 10, 1849 – April 29, 1941) was a German-born resident of Dubuque, Iowa, remembered for maintaining the Herrmann Museum of Natural History in his home at 2419 Central Avenue. He was born in Chemnitz, Saxony, Germany, and died in Dubuque, Iowa, after a life dedicated to natural history preservation. His museum was a notable local attraction during his lifetime.
