Rex Vicat Cole
Rex Vicat Cole (1870–1940) was an English landscape painter of the Edwardian era educated at Eton, elected to the Royal Society of British Artists in 1900, and known for his detailed studies of trees, publishing the scholarly treatise British Trees in 1907.[1][3] In 1910, he co-founded the Byam Shaw and Vicat Cole School of Art in Kensington with fellow artist Byam Shaw.[3]
