Rex Stout
Rex Stout (1886–1975) was an American writer best known for creating the detective Nero Wolfe and his assistant Archie Goodwin. He published his first Nero Wolfe novel, Fer-de-Lance, in 1934 and went on to become one of the major figures in mystery fiction. Beyond writing, he was also an activist and advocate for authors' rights.
