Rex M. Nettleford

Rex Nettleford (1933-2010) was a renowned Jamaican scholar, choreographer, and cultural historian who co-founded and served as artistic director of the National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica.[1][2] A Rhodes Scholar with degrees from the University of the West Indies and Oxford, he rose to become Vice Chancellor of the University of the West Indies and authored influential works on Caribbean culture and history.[2][3]
