Rene Goscinny
René Goscinny was a renowned French comic book writer and editor of Polish-Jewish descent, best known for co-creating the Asterix series with illustrator Albert Uderzo, as well as contributing to Lucky Luke, Iznogoud, and Le Petit Nicolas. He founded the influential humor magazine Pilote and his works are celebrated for their satire, cultural references, and humor appealing to both children and adults. Goscinny died suddenly at age 51 from a heart attack during a medical stress test.
