Reinhold Messner

Reinhold Messner is an Italian mountaineer, explorer, and author from South Tyrol, widely regarded as one of the greatest climbers in history. He was the first to climb all 14 peaks above 8,000 meters, and the first to climb Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen. He has written numerous books about his expeditions, mountaineering philosophy, and the world's mountain cultures.
