Reginald Hill

Reginald Charles Hill was an English crime writer best known for his Dalziel and Pascoe series featuring detectives Andy Dalziel and Peter Pascoe, which debuted in his 1970 novel A Clubbable Woman[1][4]. He won the Crime Writers' Association Cartier Diamond Dagger for Lifetime Achievement in 1995 and wrote over forty books spanning genres from historical novels to science fiction[1][3]. Hill died on 12 January 2012 in Ravenglass, Cumbria, following cancer[1][6].
