Regina Andrews

Regina Anderson Andrews was an American librarian, playwright, and arts patron best known as the first African American woman to lead a New York Public Library branch.[1][2] She played an important role in the Harlem Renaissance by supporting writers and intellectuals at the 135th Street Branch and by helping foster the Harlem Experimental Theater.[2]
