Rebecca Tope

Rebecca Tope, born in 1948 in the Midlands, England, is a British author of cosy crime novels, best known for her series featuring housesitter Thea Osborne in the Cotswolds and florist Simmy Brown in the Lake District. Before becoming a full-time writer, she worked in diverse roles including prenatal instructor, marriage counselor, and funeral director, and founded Praxis Books in 1992. She lives on a smallholding in rural Herefordshire, where she raises sheep and pigs, and has also ghostwritten novels based on the ITV series Rosemary and Thyme.
