Rebecca N Agheyisi

Rebecca N. Agheyisi is a linguist specializing in West African Pidgin English and minority languages in Nigeria. A native of Nigeria, she completed her dissertation on West African Pidgin English at Stanford University and joined the linguistics faculty at San Jose State University around 1970. She authored works including 'An Ẹdo-English dictionary' and 'History of Itsekiri,' and published articles such as 'Minor Languages in the Nigerian Context: Prospects and Problems' in 1984.
