Rebecca Hirsch
Rebecca E. Hirsch is an award-winning author of over 90 books for children and young readers, specializing in science, nature, and STEM/STEAM topics such as Wonder Wings, Rise to the Sky, and Plants Can't Sit Still. She holds a BS in biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts and a PhD in cellular and molecular biology, focusing on plants, from the University of Wisconsin, and previously worked as a plant biologist. She lives in State College, Pennsylvania, with her husband, jazz composer Rick Hirsch, and their three daughters.[1][3][4]
