Ray Saunders

Raymond Saunders was an American visual artist known for multimedia paintings that combined assemblage, drawing, collage, and found text, often with sociopolitical undertones. He was born in Pittsburgh and later worked in Oakland, and his practice also included installation, sculpture, and curatorial work.
