Ray Marshall

Freddie Ray Marshall (born August 22, 1928) is an American economist and professor emeritus at the University of Texas at Austin, renowned for his work in labor economics and industrial relations. He served as U.S. Secretary of Labor from 1977 to 1981 under President Jimmy Carter, overseeing job training expansion and strengthening the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Marshall has authored more than 30 books and remains active in economics and public affairs.
