Ralph D. Winter

Ralph D. Winter (1924-2009) was an influential American missiologist, Presbyterian missionary, and pioneer in Theological Education by Extension (TEE) while serving in Guatemala. He revolutionized global missions by advocating for outreach to unreached people groups rather than nations, highlighted in his seminal 1974 Lausanne Congress speech. Winter founded the U.S. Center for World Mission (now Frontier Ventures), William Carey International University, and the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement course, shaping modern frontier missions.
