Ralph Cudworth

Ralph Cudworth was an English Anglican clergyman, theologian, and philosopher, and a leading figure among the Cambridge Platonists. He is best known for his defense of rational theology and his major work, "The True Intellectual System of the Universe," which argued against atheism and mechanistic explanations of nature.[1][2][3]
