Rachel Rene Russell

Rachel Renée Russell is an American author best known for the #1 New York Times bestselling Dork Diaries series, inspired by her daughters' middle school experiences, which has sold over 15 million copies worldwide and been translated into 32 languages.[1][2] A former attorney, she prefers writing tween books to legal briefs and co-authored the spin-off series The Misadventures of Max Crumbly with her daughter Nikki.[1][2] The eldest of five children, she wrote and illustrated her first book in sixth grade as a gift for her twin brothers.[4][5]
