R. Rustin

Bayard Rustin was a U.S. civil rights activist, labor organizer, pacifist, and strategist best known for helping plan the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom and for mentoring Martin Luther King Jr. He also co-founded and worked with major civil rights and peace organizations, and later became an advocate for gay rights.[5][7][8][10]
