R. Ramakumar

R. Ramakumar is a Professor at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) in Mumbai, specializing in development studies, Indian economy, agrarian studies, and agricultural economics with a focus on rural banking. He serves as a Non-ministerial Member of the State Planning Board for the Government of Kerala and has held visiting appointments at institutions including the London School of Economics and the University of Zurich. His recent book, 'Distress in the Fields: Indian Agriculture after Liberalisation,' was published by Tulika Books in 2022.
