R. R. Palmer

Robert Roswell Palmer was an American historian specializing in the French Revolution and modern European history. He is best known for his two-volume work 'A History of the Modern World' and his influential study 'The Age of the Democratic Revolution'. Palmer taught at Princeton and Yale, and served as president of the American Historical Association.
