R. Michael Akers
R. Michael Akers is a professor emeritus of Dairy Science at Virginia Tech, where he served for nearly 37 years and held the Horace E. and Elizabeth F. Alphin Professorship. His work focuses on dairy science, especially mammary gland development and lactation, and he is the author of the book "Lactation and the Mammary Gland."
