R Crumb

Robert Crumb (b. 1943) is an influential underground comics artist born in Philadelphia, who pioneered the genre in the 1960s with works like Zap Comix, challenging societal taboos through satirical and countercultural imagery. He moved to San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury in 1967 and relocated to southern France in 1991 with his wife Aline Kominsky, with whom he collaborated until her death in 2022.[1][3][4]
