Priscilla Parkhurst Ferguson
Priscilla Parkhurst Ferguson (1940–2019) was an American sociologist and scholar of French culture who taught at Columbia University and previously at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her books, including The Battle of the Bourgeois, Literary France, Paris as Revolution, Accounting for Taste, and Word of Mouth, explored literature, urban culture, and French cuisine as forms of culture and social life.
