Prentice Mulford
Prentice Mulford (1834-1891) was an American journalist, humorist, and mystic who played a key role in the New Thought movement, pioneering teachings on the Law of Attraction and mental science. Born in Sag Harbor, New York, he led an adventurous life as a seaman, gold prospector, and teacher in California before turning to journalism in San Francisco and later retiring as a hermit in New Jersey to write his influential White Cross Library essays on metaphysics and thought power.
