Prasanna Puwanarajah

Prasanna Puwanarajah is a British actor, director, writer, and former NHS junior doctor of Sri Lankan descent, born in Ipswich, England, in 1981. He studied medicine at the University of Oxford, worked as a doctor for three and a half years, then transitioned to theatre after joining the National Youth Theatre and auditioning for the Royal Shakespeare Company. His notable works include directing Twelfth Night (UK Theatre Award winner), the feature film Ballywalter, acting in Patrick Melrose and The Crown, and his debut novel.
