Plato was an ancient Greek philosopher, a student of Socrates, and the teacher of Aristotle. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the history of Western philosophy, known for his dialogues that explore justice, beauty, equality, political philosophy, cosmology, and the philosophy of religion.
