Michael Wharton, known by his pen name Peter Simple, was a British journalist and columnist who wrote for nearly fifty years in Britain's Daily and Sunday Telegraph, where he bemused, delighted, irritated, and entertained readers with his distinctive style.[2] His work under the pseudonym became legendary for its satirical and observational commentary on contemporary society.[3]
