Pimsleur (Firm)
Pimsleur Language Programs is an American language-learning company founded by Dr. Paul Pimsleur in the 1960s, developing audio-based courses using the Pimsleur Method which emphasizes speaking, listening, spaced repetition, and anticipation. After Paul Pimsleur's death in 1976, his wife Beverly continued the business with a colleague, leading to its acquisition by Simon & Schuster, under which it now operates as a division producing over 50 language courses.
