Pierre-Joseph Redoute

Pierre-Joseph Redouté (1759–1840) was a French botanical painter and illustrator, celebrated for his detailed watercolors of flowers, especially roses and lilies. He worked for the French court and is often called the "Raphael of flowers" for the beauty and precision of his botanical art.
