Phillis Gershator
Phillis Gershator is an American children's book author born on July 8, 1942, in New York City. She earned a B.A. from Douglass College in 1966 and an M.L.S. from Pratt Institute in 1975, and worked as a children's librarian before focusing on writing picture books such as 'When It Starts to Snow' and 'Listen, Listen.' Married to author David Gershator, she has received awards like the Anne Izard Storyteller's Choice Award and lives in the Virgin Islands.
