Philip V. Mladenov is a retired marine biologist with over 40 years of professional experience in marine and environmental research, teaching, and exploration. He is the Director of Seven Seas Consulting in New Zealand and has authored the widely-read 'Marine Biology: A Very Short Introduction' published by Oxford University Press in 2013, which provides a comprehensive overview of marine life, ecosystems, and human impacts on the ocean.
