Philip R. Jordon

Philip R. Jordon (September 12, 1933 – June 7, 1965) was an American professional basketball player of Indigenous Wailaki and Nomlaki heritage, born in Lakeport, California. A 6'10" center from Whitworth University, he played seven NBA seasons (1956–1963) with the New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons, Cincinnati Royals, and St. Louis Hawks, averaging 10.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. He drowned in a rafting accident in Washington state at age 31.[1][3][4]
