Philip Purser

Philip John Purser (1925–2022) was a British novelist, journalist, and long-serving television critic for The Sunday Telegraph for over 25 years.[1][3] Born in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, he served in the army during WWII and in occupied Germany before pursuing journalism in Scotland and Fleet Street, also writing novels, television dramas, radio plays, and biographies.[1][4] He died from Alzheimer's disease at age 96.[1]
