Philip Pullman
Sir Philip Nicholas Outram Pullman (born 19 October 1946) is an English writer best known for his fantasy trilogy His Dark Materials, which includes Northern Lights (1995), The Subtle Knife (1997), and The Amber Spyglass (2000), with the latter winning the Whitbread Award.[1][2] Born in Norwich, England, he studied English at Oxford University, worked as a teacher, and became a full-time author after the success of his works, later expanding his universe with The Book of Dust trilogy, concluding with The Rose Field in 2025.[1][3][5]
