Philip Memmer

Philip Memmer is an American poet, publisher, and teacher, author of six books of poems including Cairns (Lost Horse Press, 2022), Pantheon (2019), and Lucifer: A Hagiography (2009, winner of the Idaho Prize for Poetry). His work has appeared in journals such as Poetry, Poetry London, and Poetry Northwest, as well as anthologies edited by Billy Collins, and he has received honors including two Hawthornden Fellowships and a 2023 New York State Council on the Arts Fellowship. He serves as district executive director for arts and education at the YMCA of Central New York, publisher at Tiger Bark Press, and teaches creative writing at Hamilton College in upstate New York.
