Philip Auslander

Philip Auslander is an American scholar and professor of Performance Studies and Popular Musicology at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His research focuses on performance in relation to art, music, media, and technology, and he is known for foundational books such as *Liveness: Performance in a Mediatized Culture* and *Performing Glam Rock: Gender and Theatricality in Popular Music*.[2][3]
