Phil Cousineau
Phil Cousineau is an award-winning writer, filmmaker, independent scholar, travel leader, and inspirational speaker focused on mythology, culture, and creativity, with over 40 published nonfiction books and more than 25 scriptwriting credits.[1][2][5] Born in an army hospital in Columbia, South Carolina, in the 1950s, he grew up outside Detroit, studied journalism at the University of Detroit, and pursued a varied career including sportswriting, semi-professional basketball in Europe, and teaching screenwriting before dedicating himself to books and films in the 1980s.[1] He hosted and co-wrote the TV series Global Spirit on PBS and Link TV, and his works include bestsellers like The Art of Pilgrimage and The Hero’s Journey.[3][4]
