Petronilla Whitfield

Dr. Petronilla Whitfield is an Associate Professor in Voice and Acting at Arts University Bournemouth, UK, holding a PhD in Arts Pedagogy from Warwick University and an MA in Voice Studies from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Originally trained as an actor at Arts Educational Schools, she worked as a professional actor for twenty years with companies including the Royal Shakespeare Company. She is the author of the monograph 'Teaching Strategies for Neurodiversity and Dyslexia in Actor Training: Sensing Shakespeare' (Routledge, 2019).
