Petra Brown (Illustrator)

Petra Brown is a British children's book illustrator and author based in North Wales, UK, who began her career in 2006 with her debut picture book 'If Big Can... I Can' by Beth Shoshan, shortlisted for the Booktrust Early Years Awards for Best Emerging Illustrator. After years of persistence, including creating a website in 2005 to showcase her work, she started illustrating for publishers worldwide at age 40 and later authored and illustrated 'When the Wind Blew' in 2017. She specializes in drawing animals with human expressions and creating adventurous landscapes, inspired by her surroundings in Snowdonia.
