Peter Townsend
Peter Wooldridge Townsend was a British Royal Air Force officer, flying ace, courtier, and author. He served in the Second World War, later became equerry to King George VI and comptroller of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother's household, and wrote several books including autobiographical and historical works.
