Peter Schneider
Peter Schneider (1940–2026) was a prominent German writer, journalist, and key figure in the 1968 student protest movements in Berlin and Turin. Born in Lübeck and raised in southern Germany, he studied German, history, and philosophy, debuting with the novel *Lenz* in 1973, followed by over 20 works including *The Wall Jumper*, *Couplings*, and *Eduard's Homecoming*. He served as a guest professor at universities like Stanford, Princeton, Harvard, and Georgetown since 1985.[1][3][5]
