Peter Oliver

Peter Oliver (1713–1791) was a colonial Massachusetts lawyer and judge who served as Chief Justice of the Superior Court from 1772 to 1775. A Loyalist during the American Revolution, he left Massachusetts in 1776 and spent the rest of his life in exile in England, where he wrote about the origins of the rebellion.
