Peter Jenkins
Peter Jenkins is a best-selling travel writer born in Greenwich, Connecticut, who gained fame for his 1979 memoir A Walk Across America, documenting his five-year journey across the United States with his dog Cooper.[1][2] The book topped the New York Times Bestseller list and remains a classic, followed by The Walk West, co-written with his wife Barbara Jo Pennell, chronicling their walk from Louisiana to Oregon.[1][5]
