Peter Hessler

Peter Hessler is an American writer and journalist known for his deeply reported narratives about contemporary China and Egypt. A staff writer for The New Yorker, he has published acclaimed books such as 'River Town' and 'Oracle Bones', blending travel, history, and everyday life. He was a Rhodes Scholar and has received a MacArthur Fellowship.
