Peter Hayes

Peter F. Hayes is a professor emeritus of history and German at Northwestern University, specializing in the history of Nazi Germany, the Holocaust, and the role of industry during the Third Reich. He earned his Ph.D. from Yale in 1982 and taught at Northwestern from 1980 to 2016, authoring or editing 14 books including the prize-winning Industry and Ideology: IG Farben in the Nazi Era. He has been recognized as a leading scholar in the historiography of industry in Nazi Germany and served as chair of the Academic Committee of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.[1][2][6]
